An elderly person seated beside him was wearing his faith on his
sleeve—a plastic badge with godman’s mugshot. This triggered sarcastic
thoughts in the young lad. Looking down upon the old man, he smirked to
himself: “These folks create God out of humans.” Thankfully, he didn’t
debate. Che’s over-sized face on his t-shirt wouldn’t have appreciated
the argument anyway.

Motherese
Despite his constant reminder that God ain’t a Mangalorean, his
mother always insisted on praying in Tulu. Regardless, she continued
doing her thing. He thought, perhaps, language isn’t a barrier when it
comes to talking to oneself. It was only late in life he realized
God created mothers so she can instill the belief in kids that God
do exist.
