Bearable being of lightness

I learnt something valuable in the past few months. It begins with you and ends with me—with 'us' happening somewhere in the middle. A wonderful place to be even if you don't have a clue about its exact location. The journey is worth a try though. Why elope when you can take a walk...together?
Capiche?
No?
Good.
Well, neither do i but let's just pretend otherwise. Sometimes all you've got to do is rise in love and let everything else fall in place. And most importantly, don't expect anythin.
Good luck.

What matters

If somebody pointed out Natalie Portman's forehead gives Sonakshi Sinha's something to worry about, i'd laugh along. (One of the benefits of being a joke is you can always take one!) It's never been as much about physical attributes as it is about one's perspective of a person one blindly admires. You won't end up together—that's a given—no matter what. As a consequence, in your head, even imperfections contribute to that bigger picture called beauty. You're already sold to an idea of being in love with an imaginary person. Nothing can save you now. Too late. What you can do though is appreciate the depth of mental consumption: staying in awe of the way s/he moves with their words. Rare species merit rarer priorities. You love them because they are. They exist in your very universe. Vocal yet subtle; still yet meandering. These amazing souls burn with a mysterious delight. There's pain from the past involved somewhere, of course. They don't reveal much but somehow fill the vacuum. In case you're mistaken about them, it can't possibly be worse than your status quo. Despite being so incredible, not only do they fail to realize it but also bleed like poetry. They compel you to abuse the word 'wonderful' like never before. With such a scenario around you, how do you explain yourself? Well, you don't. You simply seek home.

Fire to the flame

Since i turned 18, i've been to a handful of weddings and one funeral. Both events are on the extreme ends of human chart. The former is said to provide us a second chance at life while the latter, a final go at salvation. What marks these events are those who surround us during its separate execution. People who cheer you while you're circumambulating the holy fire and the ones who see to it that your body burns to ashes. They are there. As if the whole world's a stage and everybody, a mere witness. Maybe we shouldn't have stopped being catalysts. We could have done better. Fuck it. Imagine attending a wedding where the couple somehow get caught in the flames, thus transmuting into an unwarranted funeral. God forbid, if that happens, the Cosmos would be more just a witness.

Nirvana by accident

In movies, the screen is at times decelerated to bring in the effect of how time can be manipulated. During these instances, actors move with a grace otherwise unnoticed. The same theory is applied in sports entertainment. You can even count the number of revolutions a football completed before it skewered in to kiss the back of the net. Slo-mo, they call it. In real world, this shit happens to you whenever you bang your head into a wall or a glass door. As soon as the stars clouding your eyes are gone, everything starts to make sense. But not before everything slows down like a glacier succumbing to global warming. Even your thought process takes a beating. It's an interesting phenomena. The only trouble is you've got to be fast enough to die down a bit and young enough to live again.
